Natalie Fonrose has claimed a new creative home in the U.S. Virgin Islands, joining Euphoria Carnival Troupe for St. Thomas Carnival 2026 as they journey through the Sounds of Paradise. In this defining chapter, Natalie unleashes her artistic interpretation of Transformation—a section fueled by the untamed spirit of Dominican Bouyon music, where rhythm is rebellion and movement is freedom. She channels the explosive, pulse-racing energy of Dominican Bouyon—music born from resilience, evolution, and liberation.
Born on January 8th, 1991, Natalie Fonrose is more than a designer—she is a force. A devoted mother, visionary entrepreneur, and master of form and structure, her foundation was forged at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, where she studied civil and petroleum engineering. Precision became instinct. Complexity became power. Yet beyond calculations and blueprints, it was art that demanded her devotion.
Her journey into design began in raw creative spaces—crafting Monday wear, where expression had no limits and rules were meant to be broken. In 2017, Natalie emerged onto the carnival stage, announcing a bold new voice in costume design—one that thrives on movement, texture, and metamorphosis. Since then, her work has captivated masqueraders and reshaped expectations across the Caribbean and beyond.
As the esteemed costume designer for Tribe, one of the most iconic carnival bands in the world, Natalie’s influence stretches far beyond Trinidad and Tobago. Her designs command international stages, merging innovation with deep cultural storytelling.
When the world stood still during the COVID-19 pandemic, Natalie did not pause—she transformed. From uncertainty, she created Carni Cademy, an educational platform dedicated to preserving and elevating carnival costume construction. Through teaching, she empowers the next generation to build, dream, and evolve. Every design speaks of change, power, and rebirth
